Welcome to Clean Up Now
This is a social enterprise that is led by Country Leader, Henry Teh Kok Kheng for World Cleanup Day Malaysia by Let’s Do It World (see www.letsdoitworld.org).
World Cleanup Day (WCD) on 3 rd Saturday of September of Each Year Event (see www.worldcleanupday.org)
For this year, it is on Saturday, 19 September 2020. We are not taking an aggressive position for this year in view of covid-19 and possible second wave that we hope does not return. We will be encouraging parties with more awareness as well as to see what they can do that is also effective and safe.
Regular On-Going Clean Up Activities
It is always good to be able to see volunteers do clean-ups regularly as well as to do this very much part of their daily lives. That will help make this movement be more sustainable and positive for all of us.
While medicines are derived from the elements of the environment and living organisms, sometimes simply being exposed to sunlight and fresh, clean air makes a difference in how we feel.
Malaysia has faced concerning problems such as air pollution, water pollution and dealing with waste. If we do not take action now, our country will be in great danger. That is why it is important for us to always come up with environmental campaign and cleanup activities all around Malaysia.
Green Blue Earth
The environment provides many benefits. It heals us and helps us stay healthy. This is one of the most importance reason why we need to regularly doing cleanup activities. We aspire to see some 5% – 10% of the Malaysia population to be volunteers by 2030.
We need to walk-the-talk and not talk-the-talk. We need to take care of the environment by taking action immediately.
The earth is our responsibility that is for the present and the future. We need to pass the earth to the future generation better than when we inherited it if possible.
The earth’s eco system needs a feasible and practical approach in seeing how it can be sustainable. We need to do this together.
Training Programs Available
We have training information for self-help that are available for free as we have 3 rd party trainers to do training. Once the leaders and the assistant leaders deliver the works on WCD, we will provide them with the certificate of attendance as a leader or as an assistant leader. This also includes the ambassadors. We will be improvising as and when needed to bring in more workings to help create more opportunities for the volunteers.
We are presently working with various strategic partners to deliver sustainability in Malaysia. We are also open to collaborate with new partners in Malaysia and outside of Malaysia.
The future of Malaysia is up to you, up to us. We are all responsible to take care of it. We must act now. We can no longer view the environment and ecology as side issues if we want to prevent future calamities that can result in health impacts.
